Job summary

My Guardian is seeking a compassionate Carer to join our team and provide person-centred care in the Austral NSW region. The role involves companionship, light domestic duties, and monitoring client health while maintaining dignity and privacy.

You may travel to Austral NSW post code 2179 to support clients with independence and community participation.

Qualifications

• Experience providing domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry and meal prep.
• Experience supporting clients with transport to appointments and activities.
• Ability to document services and report incidents accurately.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing.
• Carry out light household duties (cleaning, laundry, shopping).
• Monitor changes in clients’ health or behaviour and report concerns.
• Maintain care records with dignity, privacy and safeguarding in mind.

Responsibilities of this role will include, but not limited to:

• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing and reduce loneliness.
• Carry out light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
• Monitor and record changes in clients’ health or behaviour, reporting concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate care records and ensure dignity, privacy, and safeguarding at all times.

Skills, Experiences and Qualifications:.

• Experience providing domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Experience supporting clients with transport to appointments, shopping, and social activities, promoting independence and community engagement.
• Strong ability to accurately document services provided, record incidents, and complete reports in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
• Cert 3 in Aged or Disability Care or equivalent is a plus
• A valid NDIS Check, or willing to obtain one
• Current First Aid Certificate, as this is necessary to complete personal care
• Valid police check, or is willing to obtain one
