Job summary

My Guardian is seeking a compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team servicing the Northern Rivers region in NSW. You will provide person-centred care, companionship, and support to clients in their homes, with scheduling aligned to your availability.

We welcome applicants with domestic care experience and relevant certifications; travel within Northern Rivers is required. Casual/vacation role with opportunities for ongoing work and professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience providing domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Experience assisting clients with transport to appointments, shopping, and social activities, supporting independence and community engagement.
• Strong ability to document services provided, incidents, and reports in line with requirements.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing and reduce loneliness.
• Carry out light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
• Monitor and record changes in clients’ health or behaviour, reporting concerns promptly.

Responsibilities

Skills, Experiences and Qualifications

• Experience providing domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Experience supporting clients with transport to appointments, shopping, and social activities, promoting independence and community engagement.
• Strong ability to accurately document services provided, record incidents, and complete reports in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
• Cert 3 in Aged or Disability Care or equivalent is a plus
• A valid NDIS Check, or willing to obtain one
• Current First Aid Certificate, as this is necessary to complete personal care
• Valid police check, or is willing to obtain one
