My Guardian is seeking a caring Carer to provide person-centred support in Hazelbrook, NSW. The role involves companionship, light housekeeping, and helping clients maintain independence with dignity and comfort. The position offers casual/vacation hours and a local community focus.

You will document services accurately, support transport to activities, and uphold safeguarding and privacy standards while collaborating with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience providing domestic assistance like cleaning, laundry, meals.
• Experience transporting clients to appointments, shopping, activities.
• Accurate documentation of services and reports per policy.
• NDIS Check or willingness to obtain one.
• First Aid Certificate is current and required.
• Police check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing and reduce loneliness.
• Carry out light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
• Monitor and record changes in clients’ health or behaviour, reporting concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate care records and ensure dignity, privacy, and safeguarding at all times.

Skills, Experiences and Qualifications

• Experience providing domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Experience supporting clients with transport to appointments, shopping, and social activities, promoting independence and community engagement.
• Strong ability to accurately document services provided, record incidents, and complete reports in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
• Cert 3 in Aged or Disability Care or equivalent is a plus.
• A valid NDIS Check, or willing to obtain one.
• Current First Aid Certificate, as this is necessary to complete personal care.
• Valid police check, or is willing to obtain one.
