Job summary

My Guardian Group is seeking a compassionate Carer to provide person‑centred care, companionship and practical support in the Taree area. The role may require travel to Taree NSW 2430 and involves building trust with clients across ages and abilities.

You will assist with daily tasks, monitor wellbeing, and maintain detailed care records while upholding dignity and privacy. Training and team events are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience providing domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Experience supporting clients with transport to appointments, shopping and social activities.
• Ability to accurately document services, incidents and reports in line with requirements.
• Cert 3 in Aged or Disability Care or equivalent is a plus.
• NDIS Check or willingness to obtain one, First Aid Certificate and police check or willingness.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing and reduce loneliness.
• Carry out light household duties such as cleaning, laundry and shopping.
• Monitor and record changes in clients’ health or behaviour and report concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate care records and ensure dignity, privacy and safeguarding at all times.

Skills, Experiences and Qualifications:

Experience providing domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe home environment.

Experience supporting clients with transport to appointments, shopping, and social activities, promoting independence and community engagement.

Strong ability to accurately document services provided, record incidents, and complete reports in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.

Cert 3 in Aged or Disability Care or equivalent is a plus

A valid NDIS Check, or willing to obtain one

Current First Aid Certificate, as this is necessary to complete personal care

Valid police check, or is willing to obtain one
