Job summary

Australian Unity is seeking caring people to support older Australians living independently at home. Join a supportive team delivering high-quality, person-centred domestic and personal care in clients' homes, including cleaning, laundry, meals, mobility support and medication assistance.

Permanent part-time contracts: 30 hours per fortnight with paid leave entitlements, flexible rosters, paid induction and ongoing training, and opportunities to upskill.

Qualifications

• Current Australian driver’s licence with own car.
• 3+ months paid Aged Care experience.
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours per day between 7am–5pm, Monday to Friday.
• Live across the Pottsville area including Hastings Point and surrounding communities.
• Commitment to 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and domestic support to older Australians in their homes.
• Domestic support: cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Personal care: showering, grooming, toileting & mobility support.
• Medication assistance.
• Social support, transport and companionship.
• Promoting independence, dignity & wellbeing.

About You:

• Live across the Pottsvillearea including Burringbar, Cabarita Beach, Casuarina, Crabbes Creek, Cudgera Creek, Hastings Point, Mooball, Round Mountain, Sleepy Hollowand surrounding communities
• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car (no international license's or shared vehicles)
• Have 3+ months industry experience in a paid Aged Care setting
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (some weekend rosters available for experienced carers)
• Commitmentto our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start!

What We Offer:

• $34.80 - $36.59 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time
• Permanent Part-time contracts: 30 hours per fortnight + flex up shifts
