Job summary

Australian Unity in Tweed Heads is seeking caring individuals to join our team delivering high-quality, person-centred care and domestic support to older Australians in their homes.

This permanent part-time role offers 30-40 hours per fortnight, with shifts from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and occasional weekend rosters for experienced carers. Competitive hourly rate plus superannuation, mileage allowance and paid travel time.

Qualifications

• 3+ months industry experience in a paid Aged Care setting.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence with own car.
• Able to work 7am–5pm, Monday to Friday with some weekend rosters.

Responsibilities

• Domestic support: cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Personal care: showering, grooming, toileting & mobility support.
• Medication assistance.
• Social support, transport and companionship.
• Promoting independence, dignity & wellbeing.

Job description

Join a supportive team helping older Australians (65+) live independently at home and make a real difference every day.

About You:

• Live across the Tweed Heads area including Banora Point, Bilambil, Bogangar, Casuarina, Chinderah, Cobaki, Cudgen, Fingal Head, Kingscliff, Piggabeen, Terranora and surrounding communities.
• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car (no international license's or shared vehicles)
• Have 3+ months industry experience in a paid Aged Care setting
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (some weekend rosters available for experienced carers)
• Commitment to our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start!

What We Offer:

• $34.80 - $36.59 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time
• Permanent Part-time contracts: 30-40 hours per fortnight + flex up shifts
