Job summary

Australian Unity is seeking compassionate home-care professionals to help older Australians live independently at home in Gunnedah and surrounding areas.

You will provide domestic support, personal care, medication assistance where trained, and social companionship, promoting independence with dignity. A current Australian driver's licence and own car are required, with 6+ hours daily shifts and paid training on start.

Qualifications

• Live across the Gunnedah NSW area and surrounding communities.
• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car.
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (some weekend rosters available for experienced carers).
• Commitment to our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start!
• Open to Entry Level & Experienced candidates

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to older Australians in their homes.
• Domestic support: cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Personal care: showering, grooming, toileting & mobility support (where applicable).
• Medication assistance (where applicable and trained).
• Social support, transport and companionship (where trained).
• Promoting independence, dignity & wellbeing.

About You

What We Offer

• $32.61 - $36.59 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time
• Permanent Part-time contracts: 20-50 hours per fortnight + flex up shifts
• Permanent Part-Time opportunities for experienced candidates; Casual entry-level roles available with the potential to transition to Permanent Part-Time employment
