Job summary

Australian Unity is seeking dedicated carers to help older Australians live independently at home across the Murwillumbah area and surrounding communities. You will provide high-quality domestic support, personal care, medication assistance and companionship.

The role offers permanent part-time contracts (20-40 hours per fortnight), with daytime hours (7am–6pm) and a requirement for a current Australian Driver's Licence with your own car.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Australian Driver's Licence with your own car.
• Minimum 3+ months paid experience in an aged care setting.

• Domestic support: cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Personal care: showering, grooming, toileting and mobility support.
• Medication assistance.
• Social support, transport and companionship.
• Promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing.

Join a supportive team helping older Australians (65+) live independently at home and make a real difference every day.

About You:

• Live across the Muwillumbah area including Bray Park, Condong, Dunbible, Eviron, Fernvale, Kielvale, Nunderi, Tumbulgum, Byangum, Stokers Siding, Tyalgum, Chillingham, Crystal Creek, Limpinwood, Smiths Creek and surrounding communities
• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car (no international license's or shared vehicles)
• Have 3+ months industry experience in a paid Aged Care setting
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (some weekend rosters available for experienced carers)
• Commitment to our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start!

What We Offer:

• $34.80 - $36.59 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time
• Permanent Part-time contracts: 20-40 hours per fortnight + flex up shifts
