Job summary

Australian Unity is seeking compassionate care professionals to support older Australians to live independently at home in Pottsville and surrounding areas. You will provide domestic and personal care, medication support and transport assistance with a focus on dignity and wellbeing.

The permanent part-time role offers 30 hours per fortnight, with paid induction, ongoing training and additional leave options.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car.
• Have 3+ months industry experience in a paid Aged Care setting.
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and domestic support in clients' homes.
• Domestic tasks: cleaning, laundry, meal preparation.
• Personal care: showering, grooming, toileting & mobility support.
• Medication assistance and social support/transport.

Join a supportive team helping older Australians (65+) live independently at home and make a real difference every day.

About You

• Live across the Pottsvillearea including Burringbar, Cabarita Beach, Casuarina, Crabbes Creek, Cudgera Creek, Hastings Point, Mooball, Round Mountain, Sleepy Hollow and surrounding communities
• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car (no international license's or shared vehicles)
• Have 3+ months industry experience in a paid Aged Care setting
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (some weekend rosters available for experienced carers)
• Commitment to our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start!

What We Offer

• $34.80 - $36.59 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time
• Permanent Part-time contracts: 30 hours per fortnight + flex up shifts

Your Role

As a valued member of the team, you’ll deliver high-quality, person-centred care and domestic support to older Australians in their homes including:
