Job summary

Michael Page Australia is recruiting an experienced HR leader to own and grow the HR function within a fast-moving, technology-enabled organisation operating in a regulated environment. You will build capability, establish robust systems and drive proactive people practices.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will lead an established HR team, shape governance, and partner with senior leaders on workforce planning and transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HR teams within medium to large organisations.
• Ability to build, scale or improve an HR function with strong execution.
• Proven capability to drive change, create structure and own initiatives end-to-end.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-focused environments and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the HR team with clear direction and accountability.
• Strengthen HR operations, governance and compliance frameworks.
• Drive continual policy and process improvements across the function.
• Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning and capability building.
• Provide guidance on complex employee and industrial relations matters.
• Support organisational change and business transformation projects
• Leverage technology and data to enhance efficiency and decision making
• Act as a senior escalation point and trusted advisor
• Drive WHS initiatives and a strong safety culture
• Advise on workplace health, safety and wellbeing including incident investigations
