Job summary

Michael Page Brisbane is partnering with a technology-enabled organisation to appoint an experienced HR leader who will own and elevate the HR function. You will lead a capable team, shape capability and embed AI-driven and digital transformation initiatives in a fast-growing environment.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you’ll drive governance, workforce planning and culture, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution to mature HR operations in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HR teams within medium to large organisations.
• Exposure to growth, transformation, M&A, integration or other complex business change environments.
• Strong employee and workplace relations capability.
• WH&S management experience is essential.
• Experience operating within regulated or compliance-focused environments.
• A proactive and highly accountable leadership style.
• The ability to prioritise, work autonomously and drive outcomes.
• Strong systems capability and confidence leveraging technology to improve performance.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI and emerging technologies and how they can enhance ways of working.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the HR team, creating clear direction, accountability and capability uplift
• Strengthen HR operations, processes, governance and compliance frameworks
• Drive continuous improvement across policies, procedures and people practices
• Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, organisational capability and business priorities
• Provide guidance on complex employee and industrial relations matters
• Support organisational change, growth initiatives and business transformation projects
• Use technology and data to improve efficiency and decision making across the people function
• Act as a senior escalation point and trusted advisor to the business
• Partner with leaders to drive WHS initiatives, support risk management activities and foster a strong safety culture across the workforce.
• Provide advice and support on workplace health, safety and well-being matters, including incident management, investigations and corrective actions.
