Metcash Limited in Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development professional to drive Primary Freight growth. You will own the growth strategy, manage the pipeline from opportunity to onboarding, and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to win new business.

You will lead end-to-end sales cycles, deliver tailored freight solutions and build strong industry relationships to position Metcash as a market leader in logistics and distribution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in B2B growth within FMCG, retail or supply chain.
• Proven track record turning opportunities into growth.
• Experience leading end-to-end sales cycles and RFPs.
• Strong commercial acumen and Australian logistics landscape knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth by owning the Primary Freight strategy and pipeline.
• Lead end-to-end business development from opportunity to onboarding.
• Collaborate on RFPs, business modelling and tailored freight solutions.
• Identify opportunities delivering commercial benefits, operational improvements and partnerships.
• Build industry relationships and represent Metcash in the market.
