Job summary

Sydney Container Transport Pty Ltd in Prestons is seeking an experienced logistics sales professional to own an existing portfolio and develop new business across Sydney.

You will work directly with the business owner, manage relationships, and contribute to growth while supported by an operations team. This role offers autonomy and a clear path to development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development or account management within transport, freight forwarding or logistics.
• Ability to develop customer relationships and win new business.
• Strong commercial awareness and value-based selling.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, mature, ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an established portfolio of freight forwarding customers.
• Identify, approach and secure new freight forwarding clients throughout Sydney.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and key decision-makers.
• Understand customer transport requirements, challenges and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through consistent prospecting and follow-up.
• Identify opportunities to increase business with existing customers.
• Work closely with management to develop and execute sales strategies.
• Maintain accurate customer records, pipeline updates and sales activity reporting.
• Contribute to sustainable, profitable business growth while maintaining SCT's commitment to service quality.
