ConnectYou, an Australian supplier to electricity infrastructure, seeks a General Manager – Growth to lead and accelerate new product categories across transformers, substations and transmission hardware. The role shapes the growth strategy, leveraging an existing customer base, supplier network and investment support.

Qualifications

• Strong technical and product knowledge in transformers, substations, HV/MV switchgear or transmission hardware.
• Experience in OEM, specialist supplier, distributor, EPC or procurement in electricity infrastructure.
• Experience sourcing equipment, evaluating suppliers and understanding specs and approvals.
• Commercial capability including negotiating agreements and margins.
• Evidence of growing a product category, territory or business division.
• Industry relationships or credibility to develop supplier and customer relationships.
• Entrepreneurial, autonomous in a lean business.

Responsabilités

• Identify and assess opportunities across transformers, HV/MV switchgear, modular substations and transmission hardware.
• Develop and execute a growth strategy based on demand, capability and profitable opportunities.
• Establish relationships with domestic and international manufacturers, OEMs and suppliers.
• Negotiate agency, distribution and supply agreements, and oversee sourcing and qualification.
• Lead approvals, technical compliance and listings to access markets.
• Build relationships with utilities, EPCs, contractors and developers to secure specs.
• Take ownership of divisional commercial performance, including pricing and costs.
• Work with leadership to utilise procurement, inventory and logistics and build a team.
