Job summary

Core Logistics in Melbourne is hiring a Business Development Manager to build a new function for container transport and warehousing. You’ll work closely with the MD on larger deals, shape the warehousing offer, and drive growth from day one.

A current driver’s licence and a track record of winning new accounts are essential. From Laverton North, you’ll prospect daily, conduct initial meetings, and craft proposals with management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years selling transport, logistics or 3PL in Melbourne.
• Proven track record of winning new accounts.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Ideally a network across forwarders, customs brokers or importers.
• Comfort picking up the phone and walking into a room.

Responsibilities

• Prospect daily by phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals and industry events.
• Run first meetings that uncover real service problems, not just price.
• Build proposals with management, close the deal, then stay close through the first 90 days.
• Keep HubSpot current so we can all see what's working.
