Job summary

Dyers Distribution is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager in Melbourne to identify strategic opportunities and strengthen relationships with major Australian clients. You will work across contract logistics, warehousing and linehaul, with travel to regional sites as needed.

You will collaborate with the executive team to develop practical, commercially sustainable solutions, build detailed commercial proposals, and guide new contract implementations from start to finish, driving

Qualifications

Strong background in transport, logistics or supply chain.
Proven track record in business development or commercial growth.
Excellent analytical and financial capability.
Hands-on operational knowledge and experience in logistics.
Ability to develop commercial models and evaluate logistics solutions.
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

Identify and pursue strategic new business opportunities.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with leading Australian organisations.
Develop commercial models, including routing, equipment selection and operations.
Prepare and present compelling customer proposals.
Collaborate with executive team on growth initiatives.
Support operating teams through new contract implementations and start-ups.
Evaluate opportunities for multi-customer integration and route improvements.
Work with commercial and operational teams to develop practical, commercially sustainable solutions.
