Job summary

Perilya is seeking a safety-focused Underground Grader Operator for its Broken Hill operations in NSW. The role supports safe maintenance of underground roadways and is a residential-only position based in Broken Hill.

You will operate an underground grader, perform pre-start checks, and coordinate with mining crews to uphold safety and site standards while following all procedures and legislative requirements.

Qualifications

• Grader ticket or VOC required.
• Strong understanding of underground traffic management and ventilation.
• Ability to work safely and autonomously under minimal supervision.
• Good communication and hazard identification skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate underground grader to maintain haul roads, declines, and access areas.
• Ensure roads are safe, well-drained, and compliant with site standards.
• Conduct pre-start inspections, report defects, and perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Work closely with mining crews, supervisors, and maintenance teams.
• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and legislative requirements.

Role Details

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Underground Grader Operator to support the safe and efficient maintenance of underground roadways.

This is a residential only position, based in Broken Hill.
