Job summary

Perilya Limited seeks an Underground Electrician to join the Maintenance team in Broken Hill. You will perform electrical maintenance and fault-finding across underground and surface operations to keep the mine running safely and efficiently.

The role requires NSW Electrical Licence and experience in underground mining or heavy industrial environments, with high voltage switching experience desirable. A proactive, safety-focused mindset is essential.

Role Details

We’re looking for a motivated Underground Electrician to join our Maintenance team in Broken Hill.

In this hands‑on role, you’ll carry out maintenance, repairs, and electrical work across our underground and surface operations to keep our mine running safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Electrical maintenance and fault‑finding on underground equipment
• Planned and breakdown repairs to minimise downtime
• Assisting with new electrical installations and upgrade projects
• Ensuring compliance with electrical and site safety standards
• Working closely with other trades and departments to support production

What You Will Bring

You’ll need

• NSW Electrical Licence (essential)
• Previous experience in underground mining, fixed plant, or heavy industrial environments
• High Voltage switching experience (desirable)
