Job summary

Perilya Limited in Broken Hill is seeking a motivated and safety‑focused Service Crew Operator to join our underground mining team. This role delivers essential mine services and infrastructure and supports safe, productive operations in a high‑calibre base metals operation.

You will install and maintain underground services, work on mine infrastructure, and comply with site safety standards while rotating rosters.

Qualifications

• Previous underground mining experience.
• Experience working in a Service Crew or similar underground mining role.
• Current Manual Driver's Licence.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work rotating rosters and underground environments.

Responsibilities

• Installation and maintenance of underground services including ventilation, water, air, and dewatering systems
• Installation of mine infrastructure such as pipes, pumps, sumps, and services reticulation
• Concrete spraying, grouting, and shotcreting activities as required
• Assisting with ground support installation and rehabilitation works
• Operation of underground service and utility equipment
• Carrying out underground inspections and reporting maintenance requirements
• Working safely and complying with all site safety standards, procedures, and environmental requirements
• Contributing to a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essential Requirements

• Previous underground mining experience
• Experience working in a Service Crew or similar underground mining role
