Job summary

Perilya is seeking an Underground Truck Operator in Broken Hill, NSW. You will safely haul ore and waste underground, perform pre-start checks, and adhere to site safety rules in a structured mining environment. The role is residential-based, with a supportive crew and strong leadership.

Experience is welcome but structured training pathways are provided; a valid driver’s licence is mandatory, with opportunities for both new entrants and seasoned operators in an inclusive team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate underground haul trucks to transport ore and waste between production areas and tipping locations.
• Complete pre-start checks, monitor equipment condition, and report faults or hazards promptly.
• Follow underground traffic rules, designated travel routes, and all site safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and underground crews using radios and mine systems.
• Support general underground activities such as maintaining road conditions and keeping work areas tidy.

Role Details

As an Underground Truck Operator, you’ll play a key part in the safe and efficient haulage of ore and waste from underground workings to designated locations. You’ll work as part of a supportive crew in a well‑structured mining environment with strong safety systems and experienced leadership.

This is a residential only position, based in Broken Hill.

What You’ll Be Doing
