The Public Transport Authority (PTA) invites a distinguished executive to lead Network & Infrastructure as General Manager. You will drive the long‑term performance of WA’s public transport network, balancing strategic vision with operational excellence across civil, track, signalling and electrical domains.

This is a career-defining opportunity for an accomplished executive to join the Public Transport Authority (PTA) as General Manager Network & Infrastructure, leading one of Western Australia’s most significant transport infrastructure portfolios and driving the long-term performance, sustainability, and future development of the State’s public transport network.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and forming part of the PTA Corporate Executive, you will lead a multidisciplinary portfolio encompassing civil, track, signalling, communications, electrical, engineering asset management, rail safety and infrastructure delivery functions. You will provide strategic leadership across the lifecycle of transport infrastructure, ensuring assets are maintained, upgraded and developed to support safe, reliable and efficient public transport services for Western Australians.
As the PTA's senior engineering leader, you will establish and govern engineering standards, oversee major infrastructure programs, champion innovation and continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with rail safety and legislative requirements. You will also play a pivotal role in shaping long-term infrastructure strategies, providing trusted advice to senior executives and government stakeholders, and leading organisational change initiatives that support the future growth of the network.
This role requires a highly accomplished executive capable of balancing strategic vision with operational excellence while leading large-scale infrastructure outcomes in a complex and high-profile environment.
To be successful in this role, you will be a recognised leader with significant executive experience delivering major infrastructure, engineering or transport outcomes within large and complex organisations.
To be eligible to work permanently at the PTA you must be either an Australian Citizen, have Permanent Residency status or hold a current visa with permanent working rights in Australia.
