Job description

Public Transport Authority of Western Australia – East Perth WA

In this pivotal role, you’ll play a key part in shaping transport infrastructure across Western Australia. You’ll lead land and property initiatives that support major projects—from land assembly and advice through to the ongoing stewardship of the PTA’s land portfolio. Along the way, you’ll ensure the accuracy and integrity of cadastral boundaries and land tenure records across both Crown and freehold land.

As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide clear and practical guidance on complex land matters, contribute to Ministerial responses, and confidently represent the PTA’s interests. Collaboration is central to this role—you’ll work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and consultants to achieve shared outcomes, building strong relationships and delivering high-quality reports, briefings and correspondence.

We’re seeking an experienced and approachable professional with a strong background in land tenure and administration, who takes pride in delivering meaningful outcomes. You’ll bring a practical, solutions-focused mindset, along with strong analytical and organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities with confidence. If you’re motivated by the opportunity to make a real difference and contribute to projects that benefit the community, we’d love to hear from you.

About You
  • Considerable and relevant experience and knowledge in land tenure and administration.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply legislation and a sound knowledge of government land administration processes and procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage land assembly activities and oversee team members and consultants effectively.
  • Ability to build relationships, negotiate and resolve issues, prepare written documentation, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to research and analyse issues, make recommendations, and identify and implement system and process improvements.
You can expect
  • Opportunities to grow through personal development and career pathways
  • Health and Wellbeing programs including access to a free 24/7 onsite Gym
  • Subsidised Corporate Apparel and Spectacles
  • Opportunity to join our Social Club offering savings and benefits all year round
