Job summary

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) invites a distinguished executive to lead Network & Infrastructure as General Manager. You will drive the long‑term performance of WA’s public transport network, balancing strategic vision with operational excellence across civil, track, signalling and electrical domains.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will shape engineering standards, oversee major delivery programs and advise senior leaders and government stakeholders on infrastructure

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with rail, transport or major construction experience.
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams and engineering functions.
• Experience developing long-term infrastructure strategies and asset management.
• Experience managing safety, risk, compliance in regulated environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering portfolio including civil, track, signalling, communications, electrical, and asset management.
• Provide strategic leadership across the lifecycle of transport infrastructure to ensure safety and reliability.
• Establish and govern engineering standards, oversee major infrastructure programs and drive innovation.
• Shape long-term infrastructure strategies and advise senior executives and government stakeholders.
• Lead organizational change initiatives to support growth of the network.
