Job summary

ActiveRecruitment is seeking an ICT Service Desk Officer to support a K-12 school community. You will be the frontline for ICT assistance for students and staff, handling issues and guiding users to swift resolutions.

Join a fast-paced ICT team with exposure to servers, cloud platforms, Active Directory, and IP telephony, and with potential for permanency. A strong emphasis on communication and problem-solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in ICT support or service desk (Level 1/2).
• School/education experience and Working with Children Check is a huge plus.
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware, software, and networks.
• Excellent communication and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with AD, Office 365, and device deployment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, patient, and professional first point of contact for ICT support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Level 1 & 2 issues across hardware, software, networks, and internet.
• Log, track, and manage support tickets through to resolution.
• Escalate complex issues when required.
• Keep users informed with clear and timely communication.
• Support third-party applications and systems.
• Assist with system administration (servers, cloud platforms, Active Directory).
• Deploy, configure, and maintain devices (PCs, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals).
• Manage asset registers and equipment lifecycle.
• Support IP telephony systems.
• Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and new system rollouts.
• Build strong relationships with staff, students, and the wider school community.
• Work collaboratively within the ICT team to solve problems and improve services.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge.
• Follow child safety, privacy, and WHS policies.
• Act with professionalism, discretion, and integrity at all times.
