Laverty Pathology, part of Healius, is seeking a Pathology Collector in Tamworth to join a supportive team. You will welcome patients, perform venepuncture, collect specimens and ensure accurate sample handling in line with procedures.

This role offers training and a friendly work environment. Applicants with pathology collection experience or healthcare background are encouraged to apply; WWCC and immunisation requirements apply; must live within the local area.

Formación

• Certificate III in Pathology Collection preferred.
• Experience in pathology collection or healthcare background.
• Strong communication and rapport-building with patients.
• Ability to follow procedures and work independently.
• WWCC or willingness to obtain before starting.
• Immunisation evidence including Hepatitis B required.
• Live within 45km radius of the collection centre/location.

Responsabilidades

• Welcome patients and manage waiting area with care.
• Perform venepuncture and collect pathology specimens.
• Conduct diagnostic tests such as ECGs and Holter monitoring as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and specimen registers.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport to labs.
• Manage patient communications and payments as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, professional collection environment.
