Job summary

Laverty Pathology, part of Healius, is seeking a Pathology Collector for a permanent part-time role (20 hours per week). Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.30am–12.30pm, at our collection centre in New South Wales.

You will welcome patients, perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and ensure accurate handling and documentation. Training is provided; WWCC may be required; immunisation evidence preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in pathology collection is highly regarded.
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection preferred.
• Strong communication and patient-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, manage waiting room, and explain collection procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and collect pathology specimens.
• Conduct diagnostic tests as required (ECGs, BP, Holter).
• Maintain accurate patient records and specimen logs.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport to laboratories.
• Manage patient communications and payments when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe collection environment.
