Laverty Pathology is seeking a Pathology Collector for a permanent part-time role in New South Wales. The position involves direct patient interaction, venepuncture, specimen collection and basic diagnostic tasks, working 24 hours per week across Monday to Saturday 8am-12pm. Training is provided.

Applicants with pathology collection experience or healthcare background are welcome. Cert III in Pathology Collection is preferred, and a WWCC may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in pathology collection is highly regarded or background in healthcare/customer service
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is preferred
• Strong communication and rapport-building with patients required

Aufgaben

• Welcome patients, manage waiting room and explain collection procedures
• Perform venepuncture and collect pathology specimens
• Conduct diagnostic tests such as ECGs and vital signs when required
• Maintain accurate patient records and specimen registers
• Prepare and package specimens for transport to laboratories
• Manage patient communications and payments as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional collection environment
