Job summary

Laverty Pathology, part of Healius, invites applications for a Pathology Collector to join our patient‑focused team across NSW collection centres. This permanent part‑time role (20 hours/week) involves taking blood samples, handling specimens and frontline patient care in a supportive community setting.

You will travel between sites within a designated area, welcome patients, explain procedures, conduct venepuncture, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in pathology collection preferred.
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection preferred.
• WWCC or willingness to obtain one.
• Evidence of Hepatitis B immunisation.

Responsibilities

• Travel between collection centres and hospitals within a designated area to provide collection services.
• Welcome patients, manage waiting areas and explain collection procedures with care and professionalism.
• Perform venepuncture and collect pathology specimens.
• Conduct diagnostic tests such as ECGs and basic vitals as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and specimen registers.
