Job summary

RACV Torquay is seeking a Duty Manager to provide hands-on operational leadership across Front Office and accommodation services. You will oversee the property during shifts, support team members and ensure members, guests and visitors receive an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities include leading Front Office, Housekeeping and other operational teams, maintaining service standards, and coordinating safety and reporting tasks. Previous supervisory hospitality experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of Front Office and hotel or resort operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to solve problems quickly.
• Current driver’s licence is required and First Aid Level 2 qualifications preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and non-standard hours.
• RSA certification and Working with Children checks are advantageous.

• Coordinate emergency responses and workplace safety requirements
• Assist with Front Office and other operational duties when required

What you’ll need to be successful

• Supervisory experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within hospitality
• Strong knowledge of Front Office and hotel or resort operations
• Confident leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Current driver’s licence and First Aid Level 2 qualifications
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and non-standard hours
• Experience with OPERA or a similar hotel booking system, along with a current RSA, will be highly regarded. Appointment is subject to police and Working with Children checks.
