Job summary

RACV Torquay is seeking a Duty Manager to provide hands-on leadership across Front Office and accommodation services. You’ll oversee the property during shifts, support team members and ensure members, guests and visitors receive an exceptional experience.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of Front Office and hotel or resort operations.
• Confident leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Current driver’s licence and First Aid Level 2 qualifications.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and non-standard hours.
• Experience with OPERA or a similar hotel booking system, along with a current RSA.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and support Front Office, Housekeeping and relevant operational teams
• Maintain high standards of service, safety, presentation and property security
• Respond effectively to member and guest feedback
• Support staffing, training, expenditure and operational reporting
• Coordinate emergency responses and workplace safety requirements
• Assist with Front Office and other operational duties when required

What you’ll need to be successful

• Supervisory experience in a customer‑facing role, ideally within hospitality
• Strong knowledge of Front Office and hotel or resort operations
• Confident leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills
• Current driver’s licence and First Aid Level 2 qualifications
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and non‑standard hours
• Experience with OPERA or a similar hotel booking system, along with a current RSA, will be highly regarded. Appointment is subject to police and Working with Children checks.
