Job summary

South Pacific Palms Motel in Tuncurry NSW is seeking a casual Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for guests. You’ll handle check-ins, phone enquiries, and guest requests with a friendly, professional manner.

The role is mostly afternoons 12pm-5pm with a shared roster and weekend shifts. Prior reception or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential; training on GuestPoint now and RMS in the near future.

South Pacific Palms Motor Inn - Tuncurry NSW

You'll be the first point of contact for many of our guests, so we're looking for someone who is well presented and genuinely enjoys meeting people - taking pride in providing great service. The role is predominantly afternoon reception, approximately 12pm-5pm, with a shared roster across the team. As we operate 7 days a week, you'll need to be available to work weekends, with weekend shifts shared and rotated between the team. This is a people-focused role with plenty of variety. Alongside day-to-day reception, there will be opportunities for the right person to get involved in group enquiries, events and special occasions hosted at our location.

Key responsibilities

Welcoming guests and providing a friendly arrival experience

Checking guests in

Answering phone calls and guest enquiries

Managing walk-in enquiries and bookings

Assisting guests with questions, recommendations and requests

Monitoring arrivals throughout your shift

Keeping the reception and office area organised and presentable

Assisting with general administration

Following procedures for late arrivals and guest access

About you
