Job description

A leading multi model logistics business is looking for a Transport Coordinator to join their Ipswich site. As an experienced Transport Coordinator you will assist in planning routes; managing drivers and ensuring the fleet are maintained.

As a Transport Coordinator you will assist with the day to day running of vehicles to ensure prompt and on time deliveries to customers. You will be required to update transport systems to track vehicle, trailer and job status to meet delivery timings. You will ensure vehicles and trailers are serviced andMOT'dbefore being used and assist drivers in managing their hours and break requirements to be compliant at all times. You will also be required to assist drivers and customers with queries and any issues that arise during a route. The role will mainly focus on imported containers movements.

The right candidate will have similar experience in a transport environment. Ideally the person will be confident; strong communicator and able to work under pressure. It would also be an advantage if you have worked with Transport Software.

The role will be based in their Ipswich depot and the working hours will be Monday to Friday on a 2 week rotation of Week 1 - 7am-5pm and Week 2 8am-6pm. Some flexibility will be required due to the nature of the role in logistics and start and finish times may adjust slightly. On offer is a salary of £25,000-£30,000 per annum depending on experience as well as a number of company benefits.
