Job summary

Labourpower is assisting an Australian Transport & Logistics client in West Melbourne with a Logistics Coordinator role for the Rail team. The position is a temp-to-perm opportunity requiring a positive attitude and teamwork.

Work hours are 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, with responsibilities including processing drivers, coordinating container movements, creating train service orders, and liaising with customers daily. Training will be provided and own transportation is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a similar role in transport & logistics.
• Well organised with the ability to multi-task.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Process drivers for inbound and outbound containers.
• Coordinate container locations with stackers.
• Locate containers in the terminal when required.
• Create orders for train services (inbound).
• Book dehires into eRail.
• Oversee exports leaving the terminal (export lists).
• Create empty container pickups when required.
• Use systems such as TMS, OneStop and Maximus.
• Liaise with customers daily regarding imports/exports and requirements.
• Assist operations manager as needed.

My client is an Australian Transport & Logistics company with a growing presence across the country. Due to an internal promotion they are looking to add a Logistics Coordinator to the Rail team in West Melbourne Dock Facility. This is a temp to perm opportunity for someone with a positive attitude & a team player.

• Monday to Friday - 7am to 3pm
• Processing drivers for both inbound and outbound containers
• Co-ordinating container locations with stackers
• Locating containers in terminal (when required)
• Creating orders for train services (inbound)
• Booking dehires into erail
• Oversee exports leaving terminal (export lists)
• Creating empty container pick ups (when required)
• Using systems such as tms / one stop and maximus
• Liaising with customers on a daily basis regarding imports / exports and any other requirements
• Assist operations manager as needed.
• You must have your own transportation

You will have 1-2 years in a similar role, ideally in transport & logistics. You will be well organised and able to multi-task, and have a cheery nature with a flair for communication. You must be well versed both written and speaking in English. They are very much a team environment and training will be provided.
