Job summary

Nolan's Interstate Transport – Sunshine VIC is seeking an experienced Logistics Planner to join our operations team. This permanent full-time role runs Sunday to Thursday, 6.00am start, coordinating our refrigerated fleet to ensure on-time deliveries with safety and customer service at the forefront.

You will plan freight allocation, coordinate with customers and drivers, and monitor driver compliance with SH, Fatigue Management, and CoR, while rostering to support operational needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport and logistics operations.
• Understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Law and Fatigue Management.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple demands.
• Excellent communication with customers, drivers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate freight to maximise fleet utilisation and safety.

• Monitor driver compliance with SH, BFM, AFM and CoR requirements.
• Respond to operational changes and customer priorities in real time.
• Plan rostering to meet operational needs and supervise drivers.
• Ensure compliance with CoR, Fatigue Management and company procedures.

About the Role

Permanent full time position working a roster of Sunday to Thursday, start time 6.00am to finish.

As a logistics planner you will play a key role in coordinating our refrigerated fleet, ensuring freight is delivered safely, effectively and on time while providing exceptional services to our customers.

You will be responsibilities will include:

• Planning and allocating freight to maximise fleet utilisation while maintaining safety and compliance
• Coordinating daily transport activities with customers and drivers
• Monitoring and managing driver compliance with Standard Hours, BFM and AFM requirements
• Responding to operational changes and customer priorities in a fast paced environment
• Planning and rostering to meet operational requirements
• Supervising and supporting drivers
• Ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Fatigue Management and Company procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience within the transport and logistics industry, ideally in an operations, scheduling or allocation role.
• A sound understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Law, Chain of Responsibility and Fatigue Management requirements.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers, drivers and colleagues.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

The following will be highly regarded

• Operations Schedulers Certification (TLIF0006) or a willingness to obtain.
• Experience within refrigerated, FMCG or palletised freight operations.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations.
