Job summary

Contec Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced structures foreman for a $110M institutional project in Brisbane, contributing to Olympic infrastructure. You will manage trades across site establishment, piling, basements, and main tower structures, ensuring safety and schedule adherence.

The role requires solid EBA environment experience, SWMS/OHS compliance, and coordination of pre-pour inspections with subcontractors in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience managing trades in an EBA environment.
• Demonstrated oversight of structural trades including steel and concrete.
• Ability to conduct weekly safety walks and ensure OHS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site establishment, piling/foundations, basement works and tower structures.
• Enforce SWMS and OHS compliance across trades and conduct safety walks.
• Coordinate pre-pour inspections and look-ahead programmes.

We are proud to be partnering with one of Austalia’s largest construction contractors who deliver landmark projects across government, health, institutional, civil and commercial industries. Their projects are nationally-renowned and include both government and private sector clients and can surpass $1B in scale. They will be a major contributor to building South East Queensland’s Olympic and Health infrastructure

There is a current requirement for an experienced structures foreman to join the project team on a $110M institutional project in Brisbane’s eastern suburbs that will contribute to the newly created infrastructure supporting to upcoming Olympics.

Suitable candidates will have a background managing trades in an EBA environment and be able to demonstrate the following:-

• Full experience across Split package structure -site establishment, piling/foundations, basement dig, basement structure, main tower structure and tower crane
• Ensuring SWMS and OHS compliance with all structural trades (Steel, concrete, formwork)
• Undertaking weekly safety walks and closeout of items, compliance with safety procedures
• Pre-pour inspections Daily pre-starts with subcontractors, sequencing - 2 week look ahead programmes
• Understanding of Aconex Software
