Design & Build Recruitment – North Sydney NSW is seeking a skilled Structures Foreman for a premium $80M apartment development on Sydney’s Lower North Shore. You will lead structural works, coordinate concrete, formwork and reinforcement, and manage subcontractors to keep the program on track.

Ideal candidates bring large-scale apartment experience, strong reading of drawings, and a proactive, safety-focused approach to site leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a Structures Foreman on large-scale apartment developments.
• Strong knowledge of concrete structures, formwork and reinforcement.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and driving site productivity.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and coordinate with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day responsibility for the structural works on site.
• Coordinate concrete, formwork, reinforcement and related structural trades.
• Manage subcontractors, labour and daily site activities.
• Drive short-term programs, sequencing and construction milestones.
• Coordinate concrete pours and ensure works are adequately planned and resourced.
• Review drawings and work closely with engineers and the wider project team.
• Identify and resolve design, coordination and buildability issues.
• Monitor quality and ensure works meet required standards.
• Manage inspections, hold points and QA documentation.
• Maintain high standards of WHS and site presentation.
• Work with the General Foreman and Site Manager to keep the project on program.

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Structures Foreman to join the delivery team on a $80M high-end apartment development on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.

Working closely with the General Foreman and Site Manager, you will take ownership of the structural works, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring the project progresses safely, efficiently and in line with program.

This is an ideal opportunity for a strong structures specialist looking to join a well-resourced project team on a significant residential development.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking day-to-day responsibility for the structural works on site
• Coordinating concrete, formwork, reinforcement and associated structural trades
• Managing subcontractors, labour and daily site activities
• Driving short-term programs, sequencing and construction milestones
• Coordinating concrete pours and ensuring works are adequately planned and resourced
• Reviewing drawings and working closely with engineers and the wider project team
• Identifying and resolving design, coordination and buildability issues
• Monitoring quality and ensuring works are delivered to the required standards
• Managing inspections, hold points and relevant QA documentation
• Maintaining high standards of WHS and site presentation
• Working closely with the General Foreman and Site Manager to keep the overall project on program

About You

• Proven experience as a Structures Foreman on large-scale apartment developments
• Strong knowledge of concrete structures, formwork, reinforcement and structural sequencing
• Experience delivering multi-storey Class 2 residential projects
• Excellent understanding of construction methodology, programming and site coordination
• Strong ability to read and interpret structural drawings
• Confident coordinating subcontractors and driving productivity on site
• High standards around safety, quality and workmanship
• Trade background, ideally carpentry, highly regarded
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
