Job summary

DSC Personnel is seeking a motivated Foreman or Junior Site Manager for major residential construction projects across the Northern Beaches. The role offers hands-on site leadership, coordinating trades, safety, quality, and reporting, with ownership of site operations in the absence of senior management.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in residential construction, current White Card, and a valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the overall day-to-day management of residential construction projects.
• Coordinate and manage trades and subcontractors on site.
• Open and close sites as required.
• Coordinate daily site activities and ensure works progress in line with the project program.
• Manage trade sequencing and ensure works are completed in the correct order.
• Monitor workmanship, quality and completion of trade works.
• Ensure contractors are working within their agreed scope of works.
• Track trade progress, outstanding works and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate daily site reports, work logs and project documentation.
• Monitor project timelines and identify potential delays or issues.

Foreman / Junior Site Manager – Northern Beaches

DSC is seeking motivated and capable Foremen / Junior Site Managers to join the team on major residential construction projects across the Northern Beaches. These opportunities would suit an experienced Carpenter, Leading Hand, Foreman or emerging Site Manager looking to take the next step in their construction career and develop their experience in site management and project delivery. Working closely with the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of site activities, trades, safety, quality, compliance and project administration. The successful candidates will need to be proactive, organised and confident working independently, with the ability to take ownership of site operations when senior management is not present.

Key responsibilities

Assist with the overall day-to-day management of residential construction projects.

Coordinate and manage trades and subcontractors on site.

Open and close sites as required.

Coordinate daily site activities and ensure works are progressing in line with the project program.

Manage trade sequencing and ensure works are completed in the correct order.

About you

Previous experience as a Foreman, Leading Hand, Junior Site Manager, Site Manager or experienced Carpenter.

A strong background in residential construction.

Good understanding of construction processes and trade sequencing.

Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors.

Strong knowledge of construction quality and workmanship.

Understanding of site safety, compliance and construction documentation.

Strong organisational, communication and reporting skills.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of site activities.

Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Current White Card and valid driver's licence.
