Job summary

DSC Personnel is seeking a capable Foreman to join our project team at the Middle Cove development. The ideal candidate will have a carpentry background and will advance to broader site supervision and management roles, coordinating trades and daily site activities.

The role requires a strong understanding of residential construction, quality workmanship, and the ability to manage timelines and communicate with the Construction Manager. White Card and a valid driver’s license are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Carpentry background is essential.
• Experience as Leading Hand or Foreman preferred.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and manage day-to-day site activities.
• Strong understanding of residential construction sequencing and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the site each day.
• Set up and coordinate trades on site.
• Coordinate daily site activities and ensure trades are working efficiently.
• Maintain detailed daily work logs and site records.
• Monitor workmanship and conduct quality control checks.
• Review trade works against their contracted scope of works.
• Identify incomplete, defective or non-compliant works and coordinate rectification.
• Organise and schedule trades in accordance with the project program.
• Coordinate the sequencing of works between different trades.
• Monitor project timelines and provide regular updates.
• Identify potential delays and communicate issues to the Construction Manager.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised site.
• Assist with general site management and project coordination.
• Attend weekly site meetings with the Construction Manager to review progress and budget.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a capable and motivated Foreman to join our clients project team at the Middle Cove development. The successful candidate will ideally have a carpentry background and be looking to take the next step into a broader site supervision and management role. The Foreman will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of trades and site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, to the required quality and in accordance with the project program.

ABOUT YOU

• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and manage day-to-day site activities.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the site.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Keen to develop further skills in construction management.
• Current White Card.
• Valid driver's licence.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Foreman will report directly to the Construction Manager, with weekly site meetings to review project progress, trade performance, quality, timelines and budget.
