Job summary

DSC Personnel is seeking a Foreman for a Palm Beach development project in Sydney. The role supports the Construction Manager, coordinating day-to-day trades and site activities, while developing skills in site management and project delivery.

The successful candidate will be proactive, organised and able to work independently when senior management is not on site, with exposure to project progress, safety and quality control.

Qualifications

• Experience as Foreman or leading hand or carpenter.
• Strong understanding of residential construction.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades on site.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Keen to develop skills in construction management.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Current White Card and valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage trades on site on a day-to-day basis.
• Open and close the site as required.
• Coordinate trades and ensure works progress per the project program.
• Monitor workmanship and quality across the site.
• Ensure trades work to their defined scope of works.
• Maintain daily site records and logs.
• Assist with planning upcoming works and scheduling.
• Identify and communicate site issues, delays and variations.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment.
• Assist the Construction Manager with site coordination and project management.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day site running when senior management is unavailable.
• Attend regular site meetings with the Construction Manager.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and capable Foreman to join our clients project team at the Palm Beach development.

This role would suit a young foreman or an experienced carpenter looking to develop their skills in site management and project delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with the Construction Manager and gain exposure to the broader management of the project, while taking responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of trades on site. The role requires someone who is proactive, organised and capable of working independently when senior management is not on site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• - Coordinate and manage trades on site on a day-to-day basis.
• - Open and close the site as required.
• - Coordinate trades and ensure works are progressing in accordance with the project program.

• - Ensure trades are working to their agreed scope of works.
