Job summary

Bankstown Sports Club, home to Lucky Cheng’s, is seeking a Food & Beverage Team Leader to lead service, support the team and help keep the venue running smoothly. You’ll be hands-on during service, creating a welcoming guest experience and ensuring high service standards.

The role covers 7-day rotating rosters, including nights and weekends, with a focus on staff development, stock control, and cash handling. NSW RSA/RCG knowledge and a hands-on approach are essential.

About Us

Bankstown Sports Club is one of Sydney’s leading hospitality and entertainment destinations, home to a diverse collection of restaurants, bars and entertainment experiences.

It’s a vibrant, fast-paced restaurant with plenty happening on the floor, making it the perfect environment for a Food & Beverage Team Leader who loves great food, great service and leading from the front.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity available on either a permanent full-time or permanent part-time basis, giving you the flexibility to find the right fit while building your hospitality career.

As a Food & Beverage Team Leader at Lucky Cheng’s, you’ll be hands-on during service, supporting your team and helping keep the venue running smoothly.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading, motivating and supporting the team during service
• Creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest
• Keeping service running smoothly during busy periods
• Ensuring the restaurant is prepared and presented to a high standard
• Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues with confidence and care
• Supporting daily operations including stock control and cash handling

About You

You’re a natural people person who thrives in a busy hospitality environment. You’re confident leading a team, calm under pressure and know how to create a great experience for both guests and your team.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Previous Team Leader, Supervisor or similar leadership experience within hospitality
• Experience in a busy restaurant or high-volume food and beverage environment
• A genuine passion for customer service and hospitality
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• The ability to motivate, coach and support a diverse team
• A hands-on approach and willingness to jump in wherever needed
• Knowledge of RSA, RCG, WH&S and food safety requirements
• Current NSW RSA and RCG competency card, or willingness to obtain
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays
• Full working rights in Australia
