Job summary

Bowral Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to support day-to-day operations and manage financial administration. The role offers flexible working days and hours that can be discussed.

You will handle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and data entry while contributing to roster planning and team coordination in a small but busy veterinary practice. Strong software skills and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping is essential.
• Must have accounting software experience (Xero/MYOB or similar).
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Professional, friendly, and approachable.
• Able to work in a small but busy environment.
• Strong communicator within a veterinary practice team.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Bank reconciliations
• General data entry and document management
• Provide administrative support as required
• Support vet and nurse rosters, leave requests and staffing needs
• Run regular team meetings, provide feedback and conduct performance reviews
• Willing to learn vet software used for bookings, invoicing, pricing etc
