Job summary

Atom Resources is seeking a Fire Safety Assessor / Compliance Manager to lead a growing compliance division delivering inspection, testing and fire safety services across commercial, strata, industrial and critical infrastructure portfolios.

The role offers a leadership path, with the opportunity to drive quality assurance, process improvements and high-level client relationships within a well-established fire protection business.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of AS1851.
• Experience within the Fire Protection industry.
• Experience reviewing defects and remedial recommendations.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and mentoring Fire Safety Assessors, Compliance Officers and Inspect & Test personnel.
• Managing compliance programs across a diverse client portfolio.
• Supporting Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) obligations.
• Reviewing inspection reports, compliance findings and remedial recommendations.
• Maintaining compliance with AS1851 and relevant industry standards.
• Building strong relationships with building owners, strata managers, facility managers and key stakeholders.
• Driving process improvements, quality assurance and operational excellence.
• Assisting with onboarding new contracts and ensuring successful service delivery.

Lead a Growing Fire Compliance Team

We are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Assessor, Accredited Practitioner (Fire Safety) or Compliance Manager to lead a growing compliance division delivering inspection, testing and fire safety compliance services across commercial, strata, industrial and critical infrastructure portfolios.

About the Role

Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for the leadership, performance and development of the compliance function.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring Fire Safety Assessors, Compliance Officers and Inspect & Test personnel.
• Managing compliance programs across a diverse client portfolio.
• Supporting Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) obligations.
• Reviewing inspection reports, compliance findings and remedial recommendations.
• Managing workloads, scheduling and operational performance.
• Maintaining compliance with AS1851 and relevant industry standards.
• Supporting defect identification, remediation strategies and compliance outcomes.
• Building strong relationships with building owners, strata managers, facility managers and key stakeholders.
• Driving process improvements, quality assurance and operational excellence.
• Assisting with onboarding new contracts and ensuring successful service delivery.

Essential Experience

• Strong understanding of AS1851.
• Experience within the Fire Protection industry.

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly Regarded

• Accredited Practitioner (Fire Safety) (APFS).
• Fire Safety Assessor accreditation.
• Certificate II or III in Fire Protection Inspection & Testing.
• Relevant Fire Protection trade qualification.
• Experience managing Fire Safety Assessors or compliance teams.
• Experience with Uptick or similar field service software.
• Strong understanding of AFSS requirements and Essential Fire Safety Measures.
