All Aussie Fire is seeking a fully accredited Fire Safety Assessor to join our NSW portfolio. The role involves autonomous decision-making, inspecting sites, preparing AFSS documentation, and providing expert guidance on compliance with Australian Standards, NCC/BCA, and NSW legislation.

You will liaise with clients and stakeholders, review safety systems, identify defects, and ensure timely, high-quality assessments while maintaining WHS standards.

Qualifications

• Current FPA Australia accreditation as a Fire Safety Assessor across all relevant fire safety measures
• Strong experience within the fire protection and fire safety industry
• Proven experience conducting fire safety inspections, audits and assessments
• Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and NSW regulatory requirements
• Strong understanding of the NCC/BCA and fire safety certification requirements
• Excellent technical interpretation and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to confidently identify and assess compliance issues

Responsibilities

• Conduct fire safety inspections, audits and compliance assessments across multiple sites
• Assess essential fire safety measures and determine compliance with applicable requirements
• Prepare, review and complete Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) assessment and certification documentation
• Identify defects, non-compliances and potential risks and provide clear rectification recommendations
• Review existing fire safety systems, documentation and maintenance records
• Interpret and apply relevant Australian Standards, NCC/BCA requirements and NSW legislation
• Provide technical advice and guidance to clients regarding fire safety compliance
• Liaise with clients, building managers, strata managers, contractors and other stakeholders
• Review rectification works and determine whether issues have been addressed
• Maintain accurate assessment and compliance records
• Ensure all work is completed professionally, accurately and within timeframes
• Stay up to date with changes to legislation, standards and industry practices
• Support Operations Manager with technical and compliance matters
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, systems and service delivery
• Support safety initiatives across the business

About the Role

Due to the continued growth of our operations, we are seeking an experienced and fully accredited Fire Safety Assessor (FSA) to join our team.

This is a highly technical and autonomous role suited to an experienced assessor who is confident making compliance decisions, interpreting legislation and standards, and providing professional advice to clients.

As a Fire Safety Assessor, you will play an important role in ensuring the ongoing compliance and integrity of our NSW portfolio. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, audits and assessments, preparing certification documentation and identifying areas requiring rectification or further investigation.

You will work closely with our Operations Manager, clients, contractors and internal team, while having the autonomy to manage your workload and deliver high quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

About You

We are looking for a highly competent and professional Fire Safety Assessor who takes ownership of their work and understands the importance of accurate, defensible and compliant assessments.

You will be someone who is comfortable working autonomously, making technical decisions and communicating those decisions clearly to clients and other stakeholders.

You will ideally have:
