Job summary

LETO Technology Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support high-speed packaging and coding systems in fast-paced production environments.

You’ll diagnose, repair, and prevent downtime across CIJ, TIJ, TTO, Laser, LPA and LCM equipment, with Regular State-Based and Interstate travel and a rotating on-call roster. The role emphasizes reliability, customer outcomes, and hands-on technical development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in field service, industrial maintenance, or automation.
• Trade or tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
• Strong fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• High level of ownership, organization, and communication.
• Current Australian Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain CIJ, TIJ, TTO, Laser, LPA & LCM systems
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software faults
• Deliver first-time fix outcomes in fast-paced production environments
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities
• Train operators and maintenance teams on correct system use
• Accurately complete service reports, parts usage, and asset records within a Service CRM
• Manage and maintain motor vehicle stock, ensuring readiness and control of parts and tools
• Support customer improvements, upgrades, and reliability initiatives
• Work closely with internal teams
• Meet assigned KPIs across utilisation, service quality, and commercial contribution

The Role

This is a hands-on, customer-facing Field Service Engineer role supporting high-speed production environments.

You’ll be trusted to diagnose, resolve, and prevent issues across critical production equipment - where downtime matters.

Basic product training will be provided; however, this role is best suited to someone who can hit the ground running, applying existing technical experience while continuing to develop and refine their capability on the job.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for capable, reliable, and accountable technicians/engineers who can operate independently and represent a premium service standard.

Essential

• 5+ years’ experience in field service, industrial maintenance, or automation


• Trade or tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics


• Strong fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems


• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics


• High level of ownership, organization, and communication


• Current Australian Driver’s License

Highly Regarded

• Experience with packaging, printing, or production line equipment


• Exposure to FMCG or high-speed manufacturing environments

Salary & Package

We offer above-market packages aligned to capability and experience:

• Industrial Electrician / Dual Trade $110,000 – $125,000 base + overtime + bonus


• Engineering / Mechatronics Background $100,000 – $110,000 base + overtime + bonus
