Job summary

Atlas Copco in Brisbane is seeking a Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on tightening tools and equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose faults, provide technical support, and train customers while managing service contracts and ensuring high-quality service.

We value a hands-on, autonomous professional with 3+ years in field service of industrial air equipment, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and excellent communication in English.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills are required.
• 3+ years of field service experience maintaining and repairing industrial air equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Diploma or higher in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and upgrades of tightening tools and equipment at customer sites.
• Provide technical support, service solutions, and training to customers.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults; maintain strong customer relationships and deliver high-quality service.
• Manage service contracts, turnaround times, service records, and reports; provide updates to the Service Leader.
• Carry out repair and maintenance activities with a hands-on approach and thorough documentation.

Job description

To provide a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations. You will perform preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and upgrades of tightening tools and equipment at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and upgrades of tightening tools and equipment at customer sites
• Provide technical support, service solutions, and training to customers
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults, maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication, and deliver exceptional customer service
• Manage service contracts, turnaround times, service records, and technical support reports, and provide regular updates on service activities to the Service Leader
• Carry out repair and maintenance activities with a strong mechanical mindset, ensuring accurate documentation and high service quality standards

About you

• A strong mechanical and electrical skill is a must
• Above 3 years' technical field service experience maintaining and repairing industrial air equipment (Atlas Copco and other) or equivalent
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• A hands-on approach and commitment to delivering quality work
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage your day effectively
• Current Australian Driver's Licence, full working rights and availability for an on-call roster
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Diploma or higher degree in Electrical/Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering or related equivalent
