Responsibilities

Shifts: Monday to Friday - 38 hours - start and finish times vary.

Are you a self motivated Electrician looking for a change in pace? Perhaps your stuck working at the same site or, in the same workshop, day in, day out, and you’re looking for something different, more challenging, re-igniting that passion! We’re seeking applications from Electricians or Electrical Fitters who hold their Contractors License and are interested and looking for an opportunity to expand their skillset in a Field Service capacity, servicing clients in the Greater Sydney region!

Our client are a provider of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance services to automation equipment installed in medium and large fulfillment centres.

We’re looking for someone with a positive, can do attitude, strong intrapersonal skills as you will be working across multiple customer sites, and a willingness to learn and develop your current skillset.

About the Role

In this role you will form part of an statewide Maintenance team reporting to the Operations Leader in Australia. Working at multiple client sites you will be responsible for providing preventative and reactive maintenance to a range of automation equipment, including shuttles and robotics!

The role is a hands-on role whilst having a direct interface with the customer when issues arise. It will require you to communicate effectively during breakdown situations to ensure the customer understands what is happening, and what is being done to fix the problem.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute Electrical planned preventative and reactive maintenance of all onsite Electrical and Mechanical equipment, at a range of different sites.


• Build strong relationships with onsite team members.


• Develop relationships with customer contacts to ensure clear and concise communication during breakdowns.


• Be calm under pressure - this role see's you tackle onsite issues and challenges - it requires a cool head and composed approach.


• Adapt to changing circumstances - be able to managing changing situations and, prioritise accordingly.


• Troubleshoot and fault find across a range of different components - Electrical and Mechanical.


• Undertake Electrical repairs and component replacements.


• Using the Microsoft Office, suite of products, produce reports for internal team members.


• Using the company CMMS system, accurately log issues, problems and maintenance requirements.


• Complete breakdown reports, shift logs, and issue logs in accordance with internal protocols.


• Learn how troubleshoot and fault find on PLC's and associated equipment.


• Adhere to Australian, as well as internal and external OH&S regulations.


• Comply with company policies and procedures.


• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Experience Required

• Australian Electrical Contractors License


• At least 3 + years post apprenticeship experience


• Previous experience with automation/automated equipment highly regarded


• Valid Drivers License


• Ability to pass a medium functional assessment and, drug & alcohol screen


• Self-motivated with a desire to "do the right thing" - highly autonomous role


• Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week
