Job summary

Melitta Group in Australia is seeking a Field Service Dispatcher to coordinate daily field-service operations. You will plan technician deployment, balance customer commitments, and keep work moving from dispatch through completion in a fast-paced environment.

You will assign technicians based on priority, SLA, skills, location, and availability, optimise routes, review service orders, and collaborate with Technical Support, Warehouse and Inventory to ensure parts and tools are ready.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in dispatch or service scheduling coordinating mobile technicians.
• Experience with scheduling, ERP or CRM systems; strong Excel & Outlook skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to manage priorities and make decisions under pressure.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and dispatch reactive service, planned maintenance, installations and return visits to internal and contract technicians.
• Assign technicians based on priority, SLA, skills, location and availability.
• Manage daily and forward schedules; monitor capacity and progress; adjust Allocations as needed.
• Optimize routes and sequences to reduce travel time and improve utilization.
• Review service orders prior to dispatch for fault details and access requirements.
• Coordinate with Technical Support, Warehouse and Inventory to ensure parts and tools are available.
• Manage emergency callouts and dispatch issues, prioritising safety-critical work.
• Keep customers and technicians informed of appointments and delays; resolve concerns.
• Maintain auditable records of job status and escalations; support order closure.
• Track performance metrics and suggest practical improvements.
