Field Operations & Workforce Coordinator

Orchard Hills, NSW | $65,000 + superannuation

Keeping our people performing and our clients satisfied.

We're seeking a practical, organised and people-focused individual to support service delivery across a growing labour hire business specialising in container unloading and warehouse labour support.

This is a hands-on role combining regular client site visits, workforce training, performance management and operational problem-solving.

You'll work closely with our National Business Development Manager and Operations Associate to ensure our crews meet client expectations, operational issues are resolved and service standards remain consistent.

The Operations Associate manages the day-to-day booking administration and coordination. Your focus will be on what happens on the ground: supporting our workers, maintaining service quality, resolving problems and making sure we deliver what we've committed to our clients.

You don't need to have held a senior management position. We're looking for someone with practical experience, strong people skills and the confidence to take ownership of their responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

Client site visits and service quality

• Visit client warehouses to monitor service delivery and assess workforce performance.
• Build strong working relationships with client contacts and warehouse supervisors.
• Investigate complaints, resolve issues and follow through on agreed corrective actions.
• Identify recurring problems and implement practical improvements.

Workforce training and performance

• Conduct on-site training, coaching and retraining where required.
• Reinforce expectations around punctuality, reliability, productivity, communication and work standards.
• Identify skills gaps and provide practical support to workers.
• Address performance concerns professionally and escalat... serious or recurring issues.
• Help build a dependable workforce that clients trust.

Operational support

• Work with the Operations Associate to resolve staffing issues and operational exceptions.
• Monitor job execution and ensure crews understand site requirements and customer expectations.
• Take ownership of field-level problems and ensure they are resolved.
• Provide clear updates to the National Business Development Manager on client feedback, workforce performance and operational risks.

Standards and continuous improvement

• Reinforce company procedures, site requirements and safe work practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve training, workforce performance and service consistency.
• Document site issues, training activities and corrective actions.
• Follow up to ensure improvements are implemented and sustained.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in warehousing, logistics, labour hire, transport or a similar environment.
• Confidence dealing with frontline workers, customers and warehouse supervisors.
• Strong communication, coaching and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to address performance issues constructively.
• A practical approach and the initiative to resolve problems.
• Good organisation and basic computer skills.
• A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

Experience as a warehouse team leader, shift supervisor, labour hire coordinator or workplace trainer would be advantageous.
