Job summary

Bayer CropScience Limited is seeking a Market Development Representativeto join the Vegetable Seeds team in Northern Victoria. The role focuses on supporting growers and industry partners across regional Victoria, with travel across NSW and interstate as required.

You will drive market development activities, run field trials, evaluate new genetics, and build strong customer relationships to support regional growth and product adoption. Prior agriculture experience and CRM skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related discipline.
• Experience in agriculture, horticulture, vegetable production or seed industry.
• Ability to work independently across a dispersed territory.
• Current unrestricted driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel regionally (50–60%).
• Experience conducting field trials, demonstrations or product evaluation programs.
• Knowledge of Australian vegetable production systems.
• Experience in technical sales or market development roles.
• Experience using CRM and digital reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop trusted relationships with growers, nurseries, distributors and industry stakeholders.
• Plan and implement trial protocols, conduct field evaluations, and analyse agronomic data to provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to increase product awareness, evaluation and adoption.
• Plan and deliver field days, grower meetings, technical presentations and product showcases.
• Support demand generation, forecasting and regional growth initiatives.
• Establish, manage and evaluate field trials and commercial demonstration programs.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities, providing actionable insights.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Product Management, Marketing and R&D teams.
• Maintain safety in travel and field activities and adhere to regulatory requirements.
