Job summary

Agri Talent Pty is seeking a commercially focused market development lead to establish new markets for subsurface drip irrigation in Victoria and southern NSW. You will engage growers, dealers and partners, building a market presence from the ground up and coordinating trials to prove value.

You do not need to be a qualified agronomist; however, deep knowledge of broadacre farming and proven sales or BD success are essential. Flexible, field-based work with regular travel supports growth.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Australian agriculture, preferably broadacre cropping or irrigated farming systems.
• Demonstrated success in agricultural sales, business development or market expansion.
• Sound understanding of broadacre production systems and the commercial factors influencing growers.
• Ability to identify opportunities, develop customer relationships and convert prospects into sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial initiative and the ability to plan and execute business development activities independently.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout Victoria and southern NSW.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across broadacre cropping regions.
• Develop and implement a market-entry strategy targeting commercially viable crops and farming systems.
• Build relationships with growers, agricultural businesses, dealers and industry representatives.
• Engage prospective customers, demonstrate the commercial benefits of irrigation solutions and progress sales opportunities.
• Coordinate on-farm trials and demonstrations to showcase performance and encourage grower adoption.
• Establish partnerships with research organisations, agricultural suppliers and other industry stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams to convert market interest into commercial projects.
